Promueve Congreso remuneración para profesionales de la salud durante su servicio social

Con esta iniciativa se busca que estudiantes de medicina y enfermería obtengan un beneficio económico por los horarios de trabajo que manejan

Tepic, 6 de mayo de 2022. – El servicio social de las y los jóvenes universitarios, se ha constituido en una actividad que permite al estudiante poner en práctica los conocimientos que adquirió en su vida académica en beneficio de la sociedad mexicana, sin embargo, en el caso de los profesionales de la salud, obedecen a esquemas diferentes, en donde deben cumplir jornadas de mayor exigencia, por lo que el diputado Alejandro Regalado Curiel propuso ante el pleno una reforma a la Ley para el Ejercicio de las Profesiones y Actividades Técnicas en el Estado de Nayarit.

El legislador local explicó que “durante la prestación del servicio social de las y los estudiantes de medicina y enfermería tienen exigencias y requerimientos personales diferentes a los de otras ramas profesionales, traslados uniformes y alimentación, lo que implica un tratamiento desigual respecto a quienes sólo acuden por unas horas a prestar el servicio social; siendo necesario que, a efecto de igualar las condiciones, se considere la posibilidad de que reciban una remuneración, sin que llegue a constituir una relación laboral, les permita inhibir el posible detrimento de su economía personal o incluso del núcleo familiar”.

De ahí la necesidad de reformar el párrafo primero y adicionar un párrafo segundo al artículo 38 y adiciona un artículo 42 Bis, ambos de la Ley para el Ejercicio de las Profesiones y Actividades Técnicas en el Estado de Nayarit, para que esta ley que actualmente prevé el servicio social sea gratuito y una actividad temporal, pueda ser remunerado de acuerdo a las disposiciones que para el efecto se dicten, dicha remuneración deberá ser en cantidad suficiente para satisfacer sus necesidades en la prestación del servicio.

Regalado Curiel expresó que, a través del Departamento de Profesiones, tomando en cuenta los planes formulados evaluará anualmente los programas relativos a la prestación de los servicios profesionales de índole social con la participación de los Colegios Profesionales e Instituciones universitarias o de enseñanza superior
